IoD – Institute of Development

At the Institute of Development (IoD), we believe real inclusion begins with recognizing and appreciating each person’s unique strengths. Our strengths-based approach means we focus on what individuals can do, not what they lack. Instead of asking people to “fit in,” we create space for them to be their true selves and thrive. Whether someone is managing a visible or invisible challenge, comes from a different background, or has their own learning or working style, we value the perspective they bring. This mindset shapes how we hire, how we collaborate, and how we lead—with empathy, kindness, and a strong belief in every person’s potential. Our commitment goes beyond internal culture—it’s reflected in our projects too. Through initiatives like LearnGen, TGAL, DIVERSITE, MindGuard, and Stay Connected, we actively support inclusive workplaces, intergenerational learning, mental health awareness, and equal opportunities for underrepresented groups. Each project helps us put our values into action and build environments where everyone can belong and succeed.
